International Accounting Day 2018 Celebrated
The Institute has organized a Walkathon program on the occasion of International Accounting Day on 10 November, 2018 in Kathmandu including it’s branch offices. In Kathmandu the program was inaugurated by the Vice- President of the Institute, CA. Krishna Prasad Acharya and Walkathon started from Brikuti Mandap and passed through Bhadrakali, Ratna Park and again assembled at Bhrikuti Mandap. More than 200 participants including Past Presidents, Council Members, Members, Students of the Institute and Accounting Professionals actively participated in the Walkathon.
Deputy Auditor General Mr. Ishwor Nepal was the Chief Guest and Management Dean, Tribhuvan University Prof. Dr. Dilli Raj Sharma was Guest of Honor of the closing ceremony of the International Accounting Day.
Vice- President of the Institute delivered speech on the importance of Accounting Profession and relevance of the celebration of International Accounting Day. Whereas, Prof. Dr. Dilli Raj Sharma thanked the Institute for organizing this Walkathon program, which in his opinion is a platform for all the members of the ICAN to look back and roll out plan of actions for future development of the profession and stated that the TU Management stream is happy to collaborate with the Institute for the professional and academic educational development of the Nation. He also spoke about the professional ethics in brief. Similarly, the Chief Guest of the program thanked the Institute for the celebration of International Accounting Day and extended his confidence to support ICAN in all its activities of Professional development.
